We then had a last quick look round Perth and used McDonalds wifi before we went back to the hostel to get our stuff and make our way to the airport. We'd thought we'd be able to get the same bus to the airport that we had got to the city when we'd arrived. However when we looked at the bus stop it just said domestic terminal whereas we needed international! We asked at the hostel to see if there was a different bus we could catch. The guy told us that really the only way was to get a shuttle or a taxis. The shuttle would be slightly cheaper but when he realised our flight was today, which he seemed horrified that we hadn't sorted this out sooner, he said we were too late to get the shuttle. He was pretty negative about it and seemed to act like we were just too late and would miss our flight. We decided to just get a taxis, he phoned for one for us and by time we'd got our bags it was waiting for us. The taxis didn't take long, perhaps 30 mins at the most, and we were at the airport. It has to be the quietist airport I've ever been too, there was hardly anyone around and only 3 or 4 flights leaving that day. We were too early to check-in, so had to wait around. Then when we did check-in, we were told the flight was delayed! So we'd gone from the hostel man saying we were too late to being far too early!
So to pass sometime we had lunch at Red Rooster, a nation wide fast food chicken and fish chain, which we hadn't yet tried. Then we hit the bar to try some Aussie ale. Unfortunately we didn't have many dollars left, enough for 2 beers each, so we went through to wait for the plane. The plane was about 45 minutes late in the end so we had plenty of waiting around to do.
Once on board we discovered we had seat back tv's and we could watch movies on demand. This was brilliant so no sleepling got done as we watched 2 films, we both watched different ones, we may have similar tastes in some things but not films!
Eventually we arrived in Singapore at about 10 pm, we got a taxis to our hotel, although he worrying had never heard of it! We went straight to sleep as we had to leave at 6.30am to catch the train to Kuala Lumpur. Thankfully the room had aircon otherwise we would have roasted...
