Day 29 - 15th Mar 2009

A little later start today as the bus left at 8:00 though in actual fact by the time that everyone was ready it was more like half past by the time we set off.

Our first stop for the day was at a spot right at the top end of the Grampians where we were going to do a walk to the peak of a hill. Well I say a walk, it started off as a walk, but then changed into more of a climb. We scrambled up rock faces and had to go through a cave to get to the summit, but the views from the top were amazing. You could see across all of the forest for a long way 360 degrees. It was great to do and was a real highlight of the tour; if it had just been the two of us then we never would have attempted the climb, but because we were a big group we just went along with everyone else. The walk took us about two hours to make it back to the bus and we were pretty tired by the end.

After that it was back on the bus for the long drive to complete our journey to Adelaide. It took about 5 hours and by the time we got to Adelaide we were ready to get off the bus. On arrival in Adelaide we completed our 3 day tour and were back to being independent (well for a couple of nights at least...).
